Maher Yatırım Holding A.Ş., founded by Mr. Mahmut Erdemoğlu three years ago, is acquiring Turkland Sigorta A.Ş. owned by the Lebanese Hariri Family. In case of approval after the application to the Competition Authority, the share transfer procedure will be initiated.

Maher Yatırım Holding A.Ş. is acquiring Turkland Sigorta. All shares of Turkland Sigorta A.Ş. will be acquired by Maher Yatırım Holding A.Ş. After the necessary permission is obtained upon the application to the Competition Authority, the parties will execute the share transfer transactions.
Maher Yatırım Holding, with a capital of 1.4 million TL, was founded by Mr. Mahmut Erdemoğlu in April 2015. Mr. Erdemoğlu founded Quick Sigorta with an investment of 50 million TL.

55 percent of Turkland Sigorta A.Ş., which was founded in 1989, belongs to Lebanese Cynvest S.A.L Holding, and 45 percent is owned by GroupMed International Management Holding. The company (previously known as Demir Sigorta) belonged to the Cıngıllıoğlu Family.
Turkland is run by the Hariri family
The company was founded in November 1989 with the name German Gothaer Insurance. It became Gothaer-Demir in 1990 and is currently known as Turkland. In 1992, after Demirbank T.A.Ş. acquired the company, its name was changed to Demir
Sigorta A.Ş. and was acquired by Cıngıllı Holding in 1997.
Share transfer was realized 5 years ago
The company suspended its operations in 2003 and resumed in 2008 and signed a share transfer agreement in 2013. 55 percent of the company’s shares were transferred to Cynvest S.A.L. Holding, registered in Beirut-Lebanon. 35 percent of the shares were transferred to GroupMed International Management Limited, located in Dubai/United Arab Emirates.
The remaining 10 percent shares were transferred to GroupMed International Management Holding Limited in 2014. GroupMed, on the other hand, is managed by the Lebanese Hariri Family, one of the partners of Türk Telekom.
