The foundation of Gülseren-Hüseyin Doğan Primary School was laid

The groundbreaking ceremony of Quick Sigorta Gülseren-Hüseyin Doğan Primary School, the new school built in Mahmutlar quarter in Alanya district of Antalya, took place on December 6, 2019.

A large number of respectable names attended the ceremony, who included Mr. Yalçın Sezgin, Antalya Deputy Governor, Mr. Yüksel Arslan, Antalya Provincial Director of National Education, and Alanya Mayor Mr. Adem Murat Yücel, and especially Mr. Mahmut Erdemoğlu, the Chairman of Board of Quick Sigorta, who spoke with great hopes for the future.

One of every two schools in Antalya is built by philanthropists.

Addressing the large number of guests attending the ceremony and the young students eagerly waiting for their new schools, Mr. Yüksel Arslan, Provincial Director of National Education, wished that the school would become operational at the earliest. Mr. Arslan stated that the contribution to education will spread the seeds of international pride and success not only locally but also in the long term.

I hope this school will not be the last link of the chain of works

Mr. Mahmut Erdemoğlu, Chairman of the Board of Quick Sigorta, thanked all his colleagues who pulled their weight in the completion of Quick Sigorta Gülseren-Hüseyin Doğan Primary School, which was added to the primary school, university, student dormitories, mosques and condolence houses built on behalf of family members in various cities. “Our company adopted the philosophy of leaving permanent works as a legacy, and hopefully these works will not be the last link in the chain,” Mr. Erdemoğlu said.

At the ceremony, Mr. Levent Uluçeçen, CEO of Maher Holding, and Mr. Ahmet Yaşar, General Manager of Quick Sigorta, highlighted the future plans of the company, the tremendous successes achieved in a short period and their responsibilities toward Turkey.

Full support for education from Alanya Municipality

During his speech, Alanya Mayor Mr. Adem Murat Yücel emphasized the message that “We are pushing the limits to support education and we will continue to do so” and concluded his speech with “Adopting the vision and changes required by the current age, Alanya Municipality has become one of the good examples of social municipality”.

The last speaker at the ceremony, Antalya Deputy Governor Mr. Yalçın Sezgin, expressed his trust in young students with optimistic sentences. Mr. Sezgin talked about the huge potential of the big student population in Turkey and their contribution to the country.

Antalya Deputy Governor Mr. Sezgin said, “In fact, we are not just laying the foundation of a school, we are laying the foundation of the bright future of Turkey. Quick Sigorta is investing in education, the insurance of the future.”

During the groundbreaking ceremony of the school to be built in Mahmutlar, the mufti of Antalya prayed with the attendees.

The ceremony continued with an illusion show for children and the time capsule, which included the names of Quick Sigorta employees, 2000 agents and participants, was buried for time travel at the foundation of Quick Sigorta Gülseren-Hüseyin Doğan Primary School.
